Uganda

In 2015 I had the opportunity to travel to central Uganda. Uganda forever marked me, opening my eyes to its beauty, potential, and strength. Through a series of events, four months later, I'm back in Uganda adopting a baby girl and becoming a mother for the first time. 

Uganda is forever woven into the fabric of our family. 

Through adoption and several subsequent trips, we've built relationships with strong and beautiful women in the community of Soroti, Uganda. These women are fierce, smart, and crafty. 

When I started JLMcInnis Originals, I wanted my creations to be a source of generosity and empowerment. I personally, can't think of a more deserving and capable group of women to invest in. 

Every purchase you make supports this community of women through a micro-loan program. These micro-loans make it possible for these women to start businesses, educate their children, access healthcare, and other basic needs.
